Maevyn Frey
In 2008, Maevyn entered her first yoga class and promptly fell crown over tail in love with the practice. She knew then that she would one day deepen that practice by training to teach. She often dreamed about that someday while continuing her home practice until August of 2022 when she enrolled in the Yoga Connection’s 200 hour yoga teacher training.
Maevyn has a connective tissue disorder called Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome. She understands one cannot judge a body’s capabilities by appearance. Her yogic philosophy is one of openness and acceptance. Each morning, she steps onto her mat to “greet the body I have today” and encourages her students to do the same. She believes yoga is that beautiful place where breath and movement engage with awareness. When practiced with intention, yoga’s power to heal is infinite. |
