Kasey Gopal
After completing his 500-hour teacher training with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Society, Kasey Gopal was initiated into the lineage of Advaita Vedanta by Swami Brahmanada. He studies the practice of Kirtan with his mentor Jai Uttal, is a lay member of the Taos/Maui Hanuman Bhakti Sangha, and is a beginner student of both Swami Sarvapriyananda and Tenzin Robert Thurman. He owes his heart’s deepest gratitude to lucid musical genius Pandit Shivnath Mishra Ji for allowing him to live and study at the Academy of Indian Classical Music in Varanasi, India. Kasey’s teachers generously illuminate the path of devotion through the churning of cyclones in the heart-space which act as guideposts along the yogic path. Alongside members of the Infinite Compassion Orchestra, Kasey Gopal has been tasked by his teachers to share inclusive community-based devotional practices in his hometown of Tucson, AZ and beyond.
